Donation Drive for Harford Family House – Final Collection Day
Our Pack is collecting items to donate to the Harford Family House which is an organization that provides housing to families experiencing homelessness in Harford County. This is a great opportunity for you and your scout to go shopping for a family in need and make a difference in our community during this holiday season! This also can fulfill a scout’s requirement to participate in a service project if your scout is still in need of that for his/her rank requirements.
All items need to be collected by Monday, December 13th and we will arrange for a delivery of all items to the Harford Family House later that week. Please drop items off to the Church during den meetings or alternatively, you can bring the items to the Elam’s home.
The Harford Family House provides a fully furnished apartment to each of their families. When families graduate from the program, they are able to take the items with them, so the organization is always in need of new household items. They also have a supply closet where families can access cleaning supplies, toiletries, and other personal hygiene items as needed.
We created a sign-up sheet to help ensure that we buy/donate items based on the greatest needs after discussion with the case manager at the Harford Family House. The items are listed below but please sign-up on the sheet so others know what you have purchased/donated.
Currently the greatest need is for the following items (must be new):

– air fresheners (spray or gel like Renuzit)
They could also use the following items (can be used):
– lamps (floor and table)
– area rugs
