SUMMARY:Steppingstone Museum Clean Up Day - Service Opportunity
DESCRIPTION:Steppingstone Museum is having a clean up day on Saturday\, March 26th from 9am-noon (you do not have to be there the entire time\, come to help when you can).  Scout families are encouraged to attend to help the museum clean up their grounds for opening day.  We have hosted events at Steppingstone in the past and they have been gracious to us with allowing us use of their facilities so this is a great way to give back! \nFrom museum site: Join us on Saturday\, March 26th from 9am-12pm as we prepare the Museum grounds for the 2022 season. Bring your family and friends. This is a great opportunity for groups looking for a volunteer project. All ages and ability levels are welcome. This is a rustic location and we’ll be working outdoors. Please dress comfortably and appropriately for weather and getting dirty. The most needed project on this day will be leaf/brush clean up and removal throughout our 23-acre property. There will also be some flowerbed maintenance. We recommend bringing your own gloves and tools. Suggested tools include rakes\, shovels\, hedge clippers and leaf blowers. Bring a picnic lunch to enjoy after the event. Water will be provided. SUMMARY:Scouting For Food (toiletries this year) Service Project Collection
DESCRIPTION:Join us in making a difference in our Community by collecting toiletries to help families in need! \nWe will begin collecting toiletries at the Tuesday\, March 1st den meetings and continue collecting until Tuesday\, March 22nd den meetings to donate to Grove’s Cupboard.  Note that if you scout is in the Webelos den meeting Monday nights\, you can drop your bags off to Kim at your meeting.  Our goal is to have each scout collect at least 1 bag of toiletry items for donation. \n\nGreatest needed items are: \nBar soap\nToothpaste\nShave cream\nDeodorant\nShampoo \n\nThe items will be donated to our Chartered Organization\, Grove Presbyterian Church for use in the Church’s Cupboard. \n\nThis collection takes the place of our Scouting for Food event which typically takes place in March. The Maryland Food Bank has been providing Grove with more food than they need but they are in great need of toiletries still. \n\nThe Pack will be providing patches to all participating scouts so please put your name on your bags so we know who to give credit to!

SUMMARY:Pack Picnic at Steppingstone Museum with Service Project
DESCRIPTION:Please join us for a Pack Event at Steppingstone Museum to get us all back together again before the new scout year begins!  We will meet at the Museum at 1pm to start with a service project and then have a picnic afterwards (approx. 3pm depending on how long it takes to complete our service project) along with a fun activity or two. \nSign-up for this event is due by Tues. 8/21 to allow us enough time to purchase the food/supplies. \nThe Pack will provide the grill meat (hot dogs\, burgers\, chicken) and we are asking for each family to bring an item to share.  Please use the two sign-ups below (one to sign-up to attend and one to sign up for what you plan to bring). \nThe service project will consist of beautifying the Museum’s Tractor Playspace.  The Playspace has several small lawnmowers and tractors parked on it that could use a wash and wax.  This area is popular for the Fall Harvest event so it is a great time to get them sparkling! \nPlease use the sign-ups below: \nYou don't have permission to view this page. \nYou don't have permission to view this page. \n

SUMMARY:Camping/Service Project - Steppingstone Museum
DESCRIPTION:Join members of Pack 802 in our final summer camping trip for 2017.  We will be camping at the Steppingstone Farm Museum located adjacent to Susquehanna State Park.  Campers can arrive at Steppingstone after 5:00 pm on Saturday.  The Pack will be providing dinner and an outdoor movie on Saturday evening and breakfast on Sunday morning.  Additionally\, the Pack will be participating in a service project on Sunday morning to restore and repaint the pallet maze.  Additional details for this event follow: \n\nCost:\n    Scouts = $5\n    Parents & Siblings over 6 years old = $10\n    Siblings 6 and under = $5\n\n\nFood (Dinner Saturday\, Breakfast Sunday) will be provided by the Pack.\n    Dinner Menu:  Spaghetti & Meatballs\, Hot Dogs\, Fresh Fruit Salad\, Green Salad\n    Breakfast Menu:  Eggs & Sausage\, Pancakes\, Oatmeal\, Cereal\, Fruit\n    Drinks:  Milk\, OJ\, Coffee\, Water\, Drink Mix\n\nWhat to Bring:\n    Tent\, ground cloth\, sleeping bags/bedding\n    Rain gear if needed (It’s Maryland!)\, no scout uniforms (only Pack t-shirt if desired)\n    Water bottle (will be used to refill with water/drinks during trip rather than single serve cups)\n    Camp Chairs to sit around campfire and for viewing outdoor movie\n    Flashlights\n    Garden gloves for service project\n    Old clothes that can get paint on them for service project\n\nActivities:\n    Saturday Night:  Set up camp\, dinner\, outdoor movie\, campfire\n    Sunday:  Breakfast\, Community Service project\, optional hike if enough leaders/scouts are interested\n\nCommunity Service Project Sunday Morning (on Steppingstone’s grounds)\n    Light sanding and then painting wood pallets used for their pallet maze\n    Weeding around pallet maze area
