February 10 @ 10:00 am - 5:00 pm EST

Save the date for the Pinewood Derby! Saturday, February 10th at 10:00am.  Plan to be there at 9:45.

Important Dates and Information
• Reminder that the Pinewood Derby race day is Saturday, February 10th at Grove from 10a-2pm.  We ask that all scouts be there by 10:00.  Heats will be broken up into dens but we cannot guarantee what time each den will be.  We will not wait for scouts to race.  Again, plan to be there at 10:00.  There will be some activities for Scouts and siblings while they wait for their race to start.
• Car Registration, Check In, and Impound Dates: During Den Meetings from 6:30p-8pm Tuesday, January 30 and Tuesday, February 6th we will be accepting car check ins. The Adult racing crew will inspect and weigh the cars according to the rules below and then “impound” the car until race day. Once the car is dropped off and checked in no more changes will be able to be made other than repairs needed during racing. February 6th is the last day to turn pinewood derby cars in for the race on Saturday. The Pack then keeps all the cars safely at the Church until Saturday for race day!• Racing licenses for Scouts: At check in, we will be taking a photo of your scout for his/her license so please have your scout dress in field uniform if possible. On race day we will hand out their racing “license” to wear as they arrive.
• Voting Awards will be online prior to race day (once we have photos of all the cars turned in) through the end of the day Saturday. We will send an email out for instructions regarding that specifically once the website is open for voting.  The categories will be: Best in Show, Most Creative, Best craftmanship, Best Paint job, Best Sticker, Best Theme, Most aerodynamic, Most creative shape, Most Colorful, Most Realistic, “Not a Car”, Most Scout themed, Most Patriotic
